Overview
XiMi lets you choose local videos, capture high-definition still frames, store selected frames in Shelf, and apply film texture effects on device. We aim to keep your creative media on your device unless you choose to share, export, delete, or otherwise manage it through iOS.
This policy applies to XiMi and related in-app pages, including the Store, Settings, Privacy Policy, and User Agreement screens.
Information We Handle
XiMi may handle the following categories of information:
- Media you select: videos chosen from your photo library and frame images generated from those videos.
- Local app content: saved frame records, frame titles, selected timestamps, film parameters, Shelf items, and local render state.
- App preferences: settings such as whether to keep original frames, confirm coin actions, use haptic feedback, and complete launch flow state.
- Purchase information: consumable coin balance, product identifiers, and transaction outcomes needed to deliver purchased coin packs.
- Technical information: basic device and system information that iOS and Apple services may process when the app uses StoreKit, App Tracking Transparency prompts, network access, or WebView pages.
We do not require you to create an account to use the app.
Photos, Videos, and Local Files
XiMi requests photo library access so you can choose a local video for frame extraction. The app uses the selected file to generate still frames and store saved images in the app sandbox on your device.
Selected media files, saved frames, and film effect results are not uploaded by XiMi as part of the frame capture or film finishing workflow. They remain local unless you use iOS features or other apps to move, share, back up, or delete them.
If you uninstall XiMi, iOS may remove local app sandbox data, including Shelf files and app preferences.
Coins and In-App Purchases
XiMi offers optional consumable in-app purchases. Purchases add coin packs to your in-app balance. Coins are spent inside XiMi to unlock individual premium actions, such as saving or processing certain content.
- Coins have no cash value and cannot be transferred outside XiMi.
- Coin packs are consumable digital items, not subscriptions.
- Payments, refunds, and payment credentials are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
- XiMi receives transaction information needed to confirm and deliver the purchased coin amount.
Network Access and Permissions
XiMi may use network access to complete launch checks, load remote policy pages, communicate with Apple services for StoreKit purchases, and open system or App Store related flows.
The app may request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission where iOS requires it. XiMi does not use your selected videos or saved frames for cross-app tracking. If future versions add analytics, advertising, or tracking features, this policy will be updated before those features are used.
You can manage app permissions in iOS Settings, including photo library access, cellular data, and tracking permission where available.
Retention and Your Control
Local Shelf images, frame records, render settings, preferences, and coin balance information are retained on your device as long as needed for app functionality or until you delete them, reset relevant settings, or uninstall the app.
You can remove saved content from Shelf inside the app. You can also manage app-level data through iOS controls, including deleting the app from your device.
Children
XiMi is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice inside the app or through the policy page.
